Writer’s block

Well, I had better bite the bullet. I have been procrastinating for weeks, afraid of either choosing a URL for my blog that would quickly become too painful to see every day, or writing a really bad first blog entry.

Having finally got around to buying a digital SLR camera – thank you Bengt for your excellent advice to get a Nikon D3100 – it is now time to see where this blogging adventure will take me. And the URL… well, I just happened to have found this amazing organic café just off the escalator at Staunton Street (Hong Kong) that makes a very addictive, gluten-free quinoa cake.

(And it’s NOT because all the other URL candidates were – ahem – already taken. I mean – who chooses anitsirk for their blog name?).

I should start with thanking the people who inspired and encouraged me to start a blog, including my dear friends and family, and in particular this admirable (and ethusiastically blogging) couple, Marie and Petter http://monsterbloggen.webblogg.se/.

I will be writing in both English and Swedish, just to practise using some much-loved expressions in both languages. Though nowadays, with Google Translate, there’s no fooling myself that I’ll be able to write posts that can remain unreadable to nosy colleagues.

That’s it for tonight.

You made my day by starting this blog AND refering to us. If I inspire you, and you inspire one more, that inspires one more… How many good and healthy thought couldn´t we spread!

    Lots of love.
